Celebrating Holidays offers many opportunities for fun, excitement and connection, and for meaningful learning about similarities and differences, important aspects of Southside Child Development Center’s anti-bias approach. We have a rich variety of cultures in our community, and our families celebrate holidays in many different ways. Southside Child Development Center will be closed on the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Martin Luther King Day
  • Presidents Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Veteran’s Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Friday After Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day
  • Eid Days (TBD)

In addition to these holidays, Southside Child Development Center will be closed for four days per year for staff in-service. Parents will be notified of these staff in-service dates at least one month in advance.
